May 2010 - 21DIN (www.21DIN.com) is a new online gallery, in the Lumas mould, focusing on imaginative and contemporary Belgian photography. I am part of the first batch of photographers with a series of 17 pictures. All pictures are available in medium-sized editions at reasonable prices. High-quality finishing as Dibond or Diasec is possible.
March 2010 - Limerick (Ghent) is one of the finest independent bookshops in Belgium. An insightful selection, a tasteful interior and a small café make for a worthwhile experience for book lovers. I will show a small selection of Iceland pictures between March 1 and April 30th, 2010 under the title of "Dreamland".
December 2009 - A placeholder website (www.matterhorn2015.net; www.cervino2015.net) has been created for my Matterhorn 2015 photo project. In 2015 it will be exactly 150 years ago that this iconic mountain has been climbed for the first time. The tragic ascent by Whymper and his team concluded the Golden Age of alpinism, a relatively short period in which mainly British climbers scaled all the major peaks in the Alps. The photo project will combine large format pictures from the mountain and portraits from climbers.

September 2009 - A selection of "Mountain Portraits" will be shown for the first time at the Hubermont Center for Development. 25 large format prints will be shown. The opening weekend is November 14-15th.
January 2009 - A portfolio of European Capital Pictures won a 3d prize at a competition jointly organised by the famous French magazine Réponses Photo and the Semaine de Photo de Riedisheim (Mulhouse). Winners receive an Epson inkjet printer and an opportunity to exhibit at the Riedisheim photo festival in March 2009. The jury received 150 portfolios, selected 20 photographers for the finals and awarded three prizes. First prize was for Jacques Delplan, another Belgian, and second for Anthony Ceccarelli from France. The jury on the Capitals portfolio: "An elephant in Budapest, a swan in the snows of Bratislava, a lady looking wistfully across the frozen sea at Helsinki. Philippe has travelled through Europe with his panoramic Horizon 220 and brought back a series of mellow and intriguing images, where space and melancholy meet to a create a beautiful atmosphere. A very accomplished, silent road movie ..."
